Buffalo Hospital, located on the western edge of the Twin Cities metro area in Buffalo, Minn., has twice been named as the Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace. Buffalo Hospital has more than 400 employees, 180 physicians, and 34 staffed beds. It is a state-of-the-art facility with expanded or new facilities for emergency, urgent care, diagnostic imaging, surgery and outpatient center, cardiac center, sleep center and rehabilitation. The care team is noted for its passion in providing personalized, patient-centered care for nearly 66,000 inpatients and outpatients each year.


Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities in med/surg and birth center. Be a team member exhibiting the Buffalo Hospital Standards of Behavior. Assessment, planning, evaluation, nursing care, and education for pediatric to geriatric Medical Surgical patients.


Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • BSN Preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in postpartum and nursery
  • (Couplet care) preferred.
  • Labor and delivery experience preferred
  • Current med/surg experience preferred

Skills:

  • Assessment, planning, evaluation, nursing care and education for pediatric to geriatric Medical Surgical patients
  • Able to care for couplets

Licensure/Certifications:

  • BLS Certified
  • RN License

RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.

  • Part Time (24-32 hours/week)

  • Every Other Weekend Rotation
