New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC), located in New Ulm in the south central region of Minnesota, is a full-service health care campus, providing an array of patient care services through its integrated clinic and hospital. With 500 employees, 41 physicians on staff, a full complement of visiting specialists and 35 staffed beds, NUMC serves more than 98,000 inpatients and outpatients annually.
Responsibilities
Position requires training to Med/Surg, CPR required. Need good communication skills (written and verbal). Able to work efficiently with patients and staff. Need good organizational, communication, critical thinking and team work skills. Able prioritize tasks and work on a team with a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Current experience in appropriate clinical area (Med/Surg)
- Basic computer knowledge and typing skills required
- BLS required. Current MN LPN License.
Skills
- Good communication skills (written & verbal)
- Clinical competence in all areas of the position description and unit specific competencies
- Requires frequent standing & walking
- Able to lift up to 32 lbs, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, etc. as required for the position
Licensure/Certification:
- BLS
