Intermediate-level Sales Position – Media Industry
Greenspring Media Group, award-winning publisher of Minnesota Monthly, Midwest Home, Where, and Meetings: Minnesota’s Hospitality Journal Magazine and other national and local publications, has an immediate opening for an Account Executive. As a sales representative for the portfolio of publications aimed at the hospitality and visitors market, you will sell directly to hotels, restaurants, venues, and service providers serving these consumers. You will be responsible for gaining an understanding of existing and prospective customers’ business needs, and successfully crafting and selling strategic, multi-product advertising campaigns that meet business objectives. This intermediate-level sales position is ideal for candidates looking for the next step in their sales career.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in media, communication, marketing and a minimum of three (3) years progressive sales experience in advertising, marketing, media or publishing. We are seeking an individual that excels at selling in a challenging and highly competitive media environment, and has a proven track record of successfully meeting revenue targets through both prospecting and existing client upgrades. You must have demonstrated experience in business development, client relationship and servicing skills, and solution-based selling as well as proven experience successfully selling a sophisticated product portfolio with multiple sales cycles. Prior media sales experience selling to the hospitality sector preferred.
