The Claims Director is responsible for ensuring that all claims related processing performance is timely, accurate & efficient & meets all regulatory requirements for both state & federal programs. In addition, this position is responsible for the recovery of inaccurately paid claims as a result of errors, coordination of benefits or change in provider reimbursement. The Claims Director will lead and implement any process improvements, working collaboratively with Information Systems, Configuration, Provider Relations and Contracting, and Customer Service to improve workflows and maximize the use of technology. This position also serves as an external contact for claims related issues.


 


Our selected candidate will have at least 5 years claims operations leadership experience in a managed care organization or other health insurance environment, along with demonstrated knowledge of claims processing, provider reimbursement structures and medical benefits.  Solid experience & knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid strongly preferred. A Bachelor's degree in health care management, business administration or equivalent is required. A Masters degree preferred.
