Star Tribune has Commercial Drivers License (CDL) trainee opportunities available. Candidates that meet minimum requirements will drive company step-vans, delivering to single copy racks& stores during early A.M. weekend hours while training for their Commercial Drivers License. Other weekday hours may also be available based on business needs.   

Initial minimum requirements for this trainee opportunity are a valid driver’s license, 21 years or older, a good driving record and ability to lift 40 pounds. Must have demonstrated working knowledge of Mpls. metro area & be able to use a map book. Prior driving, courier delivery or newspaper carrier experience strongly preferred.

 

Within six months of employment, trainees must obtain a Class B license with air brake endorsement with assistance from Star Tribune staff.

New drivers cover 3rd shift vacancies on Friday & Saturday nights, & may be eligible for other on-call weekday 3rd shift vacancies based on business needs.  Starting wage $15/hr with paid training.  Benefit eligibility is based on hours worked.
