Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.


Responsibilities

70% of daily work is focused around the following areas:

  • Develop, lead and manage projects utilizing Allina's project management methodology and project tools
  • Organize, plan, estimate, and schedule assigned projects and tasks
  • Mentor project team members
  • Evaluate product vendor offering and lead selection process
  • Balance resource requirements, determine project staffing needs
  • Develop, negotiate and manage any associated contracts

Other areas of focus for the role includes:

  • Responsible for forecasting, developing and managing project capital and operating budgets
  • Develop and manage Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for projects
  • Develop standards for the team to adhere to for all project deliverables
  • Develop and manage customer and vendor relationships
  • Maintain / Build relationships across business work groups
  • Facilitate the gathering of requirements and ensure customer expectations are managed
  • Develop and implement project team development
  • Support and communicate Allina's mission and values
  • Balance staffing requirements and assignments in a matrix environment

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA / BS preferred in business, management related field or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of progressively increasing SCM and/or IS project experience, with direct experience managing project teams  and implementations at multiple sites or related work experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • 1-2 years experience with lean, six sigma, JIT, value stream mapping, adaptive design or other process improvement methodology
  • ERP experience preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to lead and mentor team members, project stakeholders, and project steering committess on project priorities, issues and risks
  • Experience with developing, overseeing and managing operating and capital budgets up to a $500,000
  • Ability to develop, lead and manage small and medium sized projects utilizing common project management methodologies
  • Ability and experience in assessing, evaluating and recommending technical solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong leadership judgment and business acumen
  • Experience with customer relationship management and negotiating requirements
  • Proven ability to effectively lead meetings and direct team problem solving sessions
  • Must be able to think and work independently

Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Full Time(40 hours per week).
  • Day shift.
  • Non-contract.
