Senior Tax Specialist
Performs a variety of responsible, skilled, complex, and highly technical tasks in support of accurate calculation, collection, and distribution of property tax revenues. Maintains accurate assessment and taxation records, prepares periodic reports, and assists with state audits.
MQs: Requires equivalency of an associate’s degree in accounting, business, finance, public relations, or related field AND four years of property tax administration, government accounting, or directly related experience, to include one year experience with property tax calculation and distribution. One must obtain MN DOR Property Tax Calculation Certification within one year of hire. Preference given to those applicants who have progressive experience with property classifications, special assessment processing, tax capacity calculation, and property tax calculation and settlement. Valid driver’s license is required.
