Working as a Claims Examiner, you will research, resolve, examine and process paper and/or electronic claims submitted for payment. Interact with internal customers to obtain needed information for claim processing. Process claims reviewing Policies and Procedures, Coordination of Benefits, and applying appropriate plan provisions, CMS Regulations and DHS guidelines for payment determination.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Six months to one year experience with medical claims knowledge required. Strong knowledge of ICD9 and CPT4 coding and medical terminology experience required. Knowledge of HMO, Medicaid or Medicare preferred. Previous claims processing a plus.
