Southwest Metro Home Mortgage Sales
Home Mortgage Salesperson needed to originate home loans in LeSueur, Scott, Carver, McLeod, & Sibley counties. Qualified candidates must reside in the territory this position is covering.
Incumbent will originate home mortgage loans in rural communities, while building strong client relationships with proven loan volume and client satisfaction results. The incumbent must have the ability to combine his/her home mortgage and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each client’s current financial position in order to provide innovative and workable loan solutions to clients. The incumbent markets AgStar’s services and other related services to clients and prospective clients based upon the individual’s need for these products. Will support and build the AgStar Home brand by developing a referral base of realtors, builders, consumer direct, other financial service providers and internal team members. This position services a growing market in hobby farms, rural properties and conforming properties.
This position requires post HS education and at least 2 years experience in the mortgage lending, sales or real estate related field; ability to communicate AgStar’s "value added" business to attract and maintain a positive client base; thorough knowledge of AgStar’s products and services and credit operations; knowledge of farm production methods and products, finance, macroeconomics; and an understanding of, and ability to use, various computer business/financial applications. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiating, and strategic selling skills. In addition, this position works in a team environment. As a result, the incumbent must demonstrate effective team building and team processing skills.
