We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an In-Patient Rehabilitation Data Coordinator in the Rehabilitation Services department. The candidate who fills this role will interact with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to facilitate accurate and timely assessment, recording, data entry, and review of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility/Patient Assessment Instrument (IRFPAI.) Specifically, this individual provides timely and accurate completion and submittal of the Patient Assessment Instrument (PAI) for each adult rehabilitation inpatient, including direct input of data into the IRFPAI, assigning diagnostic and procedure codes, collaborating with the IRF Medical Director, and assisting the Centralized Rehab Admission Nurse with case finding and admission preparation to the In Patient Rehabilitation Facility. The In-Patient Rehabilitation Data Coordinator (Prospective Payment System Coordinator) will also coordinate Patient Assessment Instrument completion for all patients served in the inpatient rehabilitation program including chart review, data encoding and entry, comparison of care provided to outcomes scoring, audits, report preparation, education re: documentation and the Functional Independence Measure.

• Credentialed with current license or certification in the state and nationally as either an: RN, physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech pathologist.

•Some experience in working with acute rehabilitation patients.
•Previous experience with medical coding helpful, but not necessary.

Work Schedule
This is a part-time position, with a schedule of 3 days/week 8:00-4:30. There will also be the opportunity to extend hours by working up to an additional 32 hours per pay period in a clinical capacity either in the nursing or therapy departments.
