Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.


Responsibilities

  • Available to assist employees with questions and concerns with their daily tasks as well as handling of more complex issues.
  • Maintains department reporting
  • Handles escalated issues, including phone calls from patient and payers
  • Investigates and raises issues to management, as well as communicates the results to employees
  • Monitors and resolves weekly system reports
  • Attends meetings as assigned
  • Other duties assigned including, but not limited to special projects

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of call center, medical, insurance, or collections experience required
  • Knowledge of basic account principles
  • One year supervisory or lead experience highly preferred

Skills:

  • Mastery of systems to the level required to train others on each system
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create effective job source materials
  • Ability to effectively conduct and facilitate staff meetings and training sessions
  • Project leadership ability
  • Ability to recognize need for process improvement and offer suggestions for solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to hold personnel matters and leadership discussions confidential
  • Proven ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities throughout the work day
  • Ability to manage department work assignments with delegation to staff based on fluctuation of work volumes
  • Computer: Keyboarding and 10-key proficiency, mouse proficiency, PC applications in a Windows environment, with specific emphasis on MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
  • Organizational: Prioritize workload, manages expected volume of work, adapts well to change, solve problems quickly and escalate appropriate problems to supervisor
  • Previous TIMS and/or Epic experience preferred

Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Day shift
  • Work schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm
