Under direction, assists with routine, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance of golf related equipment in a manner that will assure a safe, aesthetic, enjoyable, and high quality golf visitor experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under direction, performs routine maintenance on standard golf course maintenance equipment and accessories.
  • As assigned, performs routine equipment maintenance such as greasing and lubrication consistent with Park District equipment maintenance standards.
  • As assigned, paints, services, and repairs golf course accessories/equipment.
Under direction, performs turf, plant, and landscape grounds maintenance functions including seeding, sodding, planting, mulching, weeding, mowing, trimming, aerating, refuse pick up, and related tasks consistent with established horticultural and golf course maintenance standards.
  • Operates hand, riding, and tractor-powered turf maintenance equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • As assigned, may operate other general equipment used in golf course maintenance   such as aerators.
Under direction, assists in construction and/or improvement projects to the golf course, support facilities, and equipment. Maintains golf course maintenance buildings and course support facilities in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. Creates a positive image of the Park District and golf course public contact situations.
  • Provides assistance and support for special golf events and tournaments.

Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned.

High School Graduate or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) and at least one year of experience or related training OR any combination of education and experience equal to the above. Previous Three Rivers Park District experience preferred.

Selection Procedure
A fully completed Three Rivers Park District Online Application must be received by Human Resources by April 9, 2012 at 4:30 p.m.   Any materials received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
 Applications will be evaluated on the basis of relevant experience and training. The top group of applicants will be invited to participate in further job screening.
Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a background investigation including a criminal history search. Costs of the background will be paid for by Three Rivers Park District.
