Description
To provide various types and levels of approved golf instruction to group and private lesson participants in a manner that will result in high quality experiences for park guests and is consistent with Three Rivers Park District policies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts lessons in accordance with established lesson plans and approved golf instruction methods and techniques. Assists in the development of golf instruction programs and selection of training aides and materials. Ensures lesson fees have been prepaid by participants and records class attendance. Submits accurate records for The First Tee Database. Courteously greets park guests and ensures that questions are properly answered or referred. Assists with special events, as assigned. Stays current on latest golf training technology and techniques. Keeps supervisor informed of any related changes or new information. 


Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED, PGA/LPGA member or apprentice in good standing or two years of experience as a golf instructor. At least two seasons (one year) of leadership or supervision of others, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Previous Three Rivers Park District experience preferred.


Selection Procedure
A fully completed Three Rivers Park District Online Application must be received by Human Resources. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of relevant experience and training. The top group of applicants will be invited to participate in further job screening.  
Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a background investigation including a criminal history search. Costs of the background will be paid for by Three Rivers Park District.
