Our client in the Mankato area is looking for a Land Records Specialist. FT opportunity, Mon-Fri, business hours. This position is temp to hire which means it could lead to a permanent job for the right candidate. The duties of this position require excellent commitment to customer service and the ability to record and search real estate documents and lien information. The ability to stay focused while assisting walk-in clients and requests over the phone and able to meet timely deadlines with a high-level of accuracy is essential for this position. Duties also include: Proofread documents, be the backup person for scanning and microfilming, sort mail, process incoming legal documents and perform other general administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year similar or related job experience working with real estate documents
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Extreme accuracy when completing data entry and other tasks
  • Ability to adapt to changes in procedures
  • Ability to work and cooperate with clients in a professional manner, while answering questions satisfactorily and confidentially
  • Accurately perform title searches
  • Set priorities for deadlines
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment including: software programs and hardware, computer, typewriter, copy machine, printers, calculators, phone, fax, imaging equipment

Preferred, but not Required:

  • Completed Legal or Real Estate courses/degree
