The Engineer position functions as a staff professional in one or more of a broad spectrum of IT disciplines including but not limited to; design, build, configuration, installation, integration, and creation of new or broadly expanded information technology hardware, software, data bases, security, applications, and services. This position designs, tests and delivers new information applications and technology to meet specifications and complies with standards and methodologies associated to specific disciplines. Provides tuning, re-engineering, and performance monitoring for more complex technology solutions and services. Provides support for service disruptions, project associated needs, continuous service improvement, and develops documentation relevant to ensure customer service and business continuity objectives are achieved. Mentors and trains less experienced team members.
Required: Bachelors or 4 years of directly applicable work experience or any combination of post secondary and directly applicable experience totaling 4 years.
In addition, experience with a diverse set of 3rd party tools/applications including, but not limited to: backup products, monitoring tools, antivirus, deployment tools, OS patching, demonstrated success multitasking, Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to think strategically and a strong bias for action.
Coordinate interaction with vendors in critical application or O/S situations. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated experience with Microsoft technologies including: terminal services, clustering, load balancing, IIS, patch management, Security and policy control. Working knowledge of x86 and x64 Server hardware technologies.
