Responsible for staffing, managing, coordinating and controlling the activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing invasive procedures or surgery. Also responsible for the interpretation, direction and evaluation of nursing practice to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care throughout the facility. The Nurse Manager will supervise the OR staff regarding clinical and ancillary services within the center and continuously analyze and evaluate all nursing services rendered, to improve clinical outcomes. Will also supervise the Sterile Processing and Pre/Post-operative departments. This individual will demonstrate leadership by working collaboratively to promote customer service and patient satisfaction. Participate in staff development, educational programs, infection control, and orientations. Manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the surgery center. Education, experience & other requirements: Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing, current State license as a Registered Nurse, current certification in basic CPR for Healthcare Professionals, evidence of continuing education, two years in a nursing supervisory role in outpatient surgery. Current ACLS certification preferred.
