We are looking for a Mechanical-Electrical Technician - Machine Builder.
A degree in Automation Technology, Automated Machinery Systems or similar vocational training - or equivalent is required.
5+ years experience in the industry
Responsibilities:
*Fits and assembles components according to prints or sketches to construct, rebuild and repair special machines and equipment using hand tools and power tools. *Aligns components for assembly and assembles parts using hand tools.
*Verifies conformance of parts to prints using measuring instruments.
*Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments. *Assembles, sets up and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance.
*Forms and fastens pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures and attachments required to service machine with air, water and oil.
*Debugs assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.
*Takes an active role during the debug phase of the project.
*Fabricates and modifies parts as required.
*Accurately lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly. *Sets up and operates metalworking machines to fabricate or modify parts.
*Performs installation, debug, repair and other field service duties that require offsite travel.
Electrical Skills required: Good understanding of AC and DC electricity Electrical troubleshooting skills Knowledge in PC/PLC controlled machinery Understanding of PLC ladder logic Efficient panel layout and wiring skills Ability to read electrical schematics Knowledge of electromechanical devices A driving desire to do your best possible work as a member of a highly collaborative team
