Top Talent Solutions is seeking an Experienced Sales Estimator for a metal finishing and plating facility in the North Metro to act as first contact with potential clients. This is a contract to hire opportunity on 1st shift with varying hours as needed. Pay will be between $20-$24/hourly DOE.
Job Duties:
- Respond professionally and in a timely manner to customer inquiries regarding services and pricing
- Review customer blueprints and understand scope of work prior to quoting
- Take time to understand, document and communicate customer specifications and requirements
- Follow work instructions and estimating policies to ensure quote accuracy and adherence to margin expectations (overall pricing, in addition to labor, materials, overhead costs, etc.)
- Work with management on any estimates that do not fall into the standard pricing and margin expectations
- Remain current with current trends and best practices in plating
- Partner with production and New Product Development to ensure accurate quoting of new or particularly complex plating requests
- May represent company at customer meetings and industry events
Job Requirements:
- 2-year technical degree and 3+ years estimating experience in a similar industry
- Must have understanding of GD&T and be able to read blueprints and surface measurements
- Job shop estimation experience
- Plating industry experience highly desired & Strong internal and external relationships and service orientation
- Intermediate computer, Internet and software skills and Strong MS Word and Excel required
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems and CRM systems
- Strong math skills, analytical ability and attention to detail
- Works quite a bit with fractions, tolerances and troy ounces, decimals
- May be subject to pre-employment drug screen
