Job Summary: The University of St. Thomas, Development Office, invites applicants for a Data Entry Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Reporting to the Director of Development Systems, the Data Entry QA Supervisor oversees biographical changes and/or updates for alumni, parents, friends and corporate/foundation constituents (more than 100,000 entities); assists in the implementation of the Development Office's efforts to improve the quantity and quality of biographical data (i.e. addresses and phone numbers) of all constituents on the Banner system; runs standard database reports as assigned; works with the Director of Development Systems to develop, train, and audit compliance-related data entry policies and procedures; and assists in hiring, training and supervising student staff.
The Data Entry QA Supervisor develops policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality data entry into Banner; provides day-to-day supervision and direction to student staff with data entry responsibilities, including training on the Banner enterprise system and data integrity standards used by the Development System group; continuously monitors and audits data entry work completed by students and staff, ensuring compliance with data entry policies and procedures; gathers information from internal and external sources and update Banner biographical information for all constituents; supports the work of the Director of Development Systems; and works in a collaborative manner with other departments to resolve data entry conflicts.
As part of the development team, the Data Entry Quality Assurance Supervisor will be expected to contribute significantly to a positive, high-energy, outcome oriented work environment.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent. One to two years experience with data entry and/or clerical work with database systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience to total two years.
Working knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Excel is important. Knowledge of UST systems helpful but training on the university's enterprise system, Banner, will be provided. Understanding of basic database principles is required.
Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail. Professional and pleasant verbal communication manner. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, balance priorities, and meet deadlines. Ability to make decisions independently within defined policies and procedures while always maintaining confidentiality. Supervisory experience preferred. Commitment to the mission of UST.
