Our continued growth has created an opportunity for a Product Manager in our Product & Market Solutions department. The Product Manager is responsible for managing their product(s) throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product, market and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with every area of the company to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and others to ensure product goals are met. This position will lead efforts to develop and will oversee the implementation and ongoing management and operation of assigned products and programs. This includes support of new product and program development, implementation and ongoing management, as well as development and execution of product strategies that achieve corporate goals.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Broad responsibility for strategic and tactical management of line of products for current and new health solutions products and programs to achieve corporate objectives.
2. Identify new product development and partnership opportunities which support strategic growth of product line
3. Develop and document vision for the product line, aligning leadership and key stakeholders towards a vision that meets corporate objectives
4. Lead product development process, following department best practices, to determine successful product line approach and strategies
5. Manage continuous improvement of product line performance-financial; market success, administration, feature development as appropriate and applicable within the lifecycle
6. Specifies market requirements through understanding market problems & needs, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals and strategies
7. Serve as expert on customer and market needs as well as competitor positioning and developments. Understand, articulate and synthesize competitor capabilities and market strategies and how relevant HealthPartners product lines compare in strengths, gaps, positioning, and pricing within HealthPartners.
8. Utilize both primary and secondary research to gather market insight, assess and institutionalize within company
9. Development of product plans and roadmaps consistent with market requirements
10. Work with external third parties to assess vendor / partnership opportunities that fulfill product requirements
11. Partners with Sales and Marketing Communications staff to develop complete product promotion and distribution strategies.
12. Manage staff as assigned. Supervises staff to perform day-to-day management of product line. Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and terminations
13. Provide consulting support to Sales and Service Teams for group or market segment specific strategy development and execution.
14. Works collaboratively with other Product & Market Solutions team members to coordinate like product components and ensure maximum overall success of HealthPartners product lines.
15. Actively participates in the creation, update and ongoing testing of business continuity and disaster recovery planning and preparation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
• Product Management or related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare, healthcare finance, or health and wellbeing
• Excellent teamwork and team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to think and manage products strategically while providing tactical support.
• Ability to work effectively and develop relationships across organization to motivate others input and support of activities without formal authority
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• MBA in Marketing or advanced degree.

DECISION-MAKING:
The position will have broad latitude in directing and influencing the use of resources to achieve product and program objectives. The position will operate with a high degree of independence in the execution of agreed-upon strategies. This position interacts externally and among HealthPartners executive leadership.
