THE RIGHT STAFF has an opportunity for the right person to work with our client on3rd shift (11pm-7am Tuesday through Saturday) in the Elk River area as an injection molding set-up technician.

DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: Familiarity with Nissei,Cincinnati,Toshiba, Battenfeld and rotary presses preferred.
In this position, the injection molding set-up technician's primary responsibilities include:
Responsible for hanging and setting up tools in preparation for production run, as well as starting up production jobs and troubleshooting.
To set up and start production jobs as well as adjust and trouble-shoot those jobs when issues arise during a production run according to procedure and/or blue book specifications.
-Hang and setup tools, following standard setup procedure.
-Start up presses, process to established parameters.
-Troubleshoot problem tools ' primary source of investigation and adjustment as necessary.
-Train 'B' and 'C' setup technicians as assigned.
-Document processes, including processing/press adjustments, etc.
-Press tear down, follow mold pull procedure.
-Sample new tools (when required).
-Cleanliness responsibility ' work area and presses.
-Update IQ/Real-time for downtime codes or setup of tools.
-Ensure press is running properly, inform Supervisor of problems.
-Perform all "B" and 'C'setup functions as directed by Shift Supervisor.
-Ensure all cycles are running at the Master cycle and producing quality parts.
-Move to Press Operator 'A' when directed by Shift Supervisor or designated Lead Mold Tech.
-Lead Mold Technician backup.
-Follow all safety policies and procedures.
-Regular, dependable punctuality and attendance.
-Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an injection molding set-up technician must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be willing to seek additional education and/or training as directed by the company. Will be expected to complete processing training, pass "A" Setup written test, and complete the 'A' Setup training checklist.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. All other mathematically necessary formulas required by the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
