Intake Coordinator

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to members, practitioner’s offices, office staff and health plans. The Intake Coordinator educates and informs callers on BHP requirements, BHP’s systems, procedural codes, billing and network questions. Intake Coordinator assists in scheduling the initial or crisis appointments to members of commercial and government plan insurances. The Intake Coordinator is also responsible for completing all telephonic and web requests for authorization. Intake Coordinators are cross trained to work within other departments to provide coverage or assistance when additional staffing is needed. 




Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 1 year experience in a behavioral related field, managed care or call center.


Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services related field with 2-3 years experience in behavioral related field, manager care or call center.
