Working in the Health Care Economics department, the Financial Analyst I will provide assistance in analysis, development of data and reporting for risk contract financial settlements and reporting packages. Working closely with the Provider Reporting Manager, this person will also communicate results to provider groups. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of UCare provider contracts, benefit packages, and claim processing procedures.
Complete financial summaries, settlements and monthly payments timely and accurately.
Prepare and communicate results of the reporting summaries to providers, Provider Relations and Contracting and Accounting.
Develop, maintain, and distribute provider data feeds.
Produce the monthly capitation reports and payment requests.
Assist Provider Reporting Manager in settlements accruals.
Provide ad hoc analyses upon request to support Provider Relations and Contracting in risk contracts-related information requests.
Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual settlements.
Assist in analysis of performance by contract for rate setting and budgeting purposes.
The Financial Analyst I position requires a minimum 1-3 years related experience in Finance or Accounting. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills using MS Access and Excel and knowledge of the HMO industry. BS/BA with an emphasis in finance/accounting or related field required. Commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
