Transplant Informatic Sys Asst

This position supports the Solid Organ Transplant program. The TIS Assistant will gather clinical data from the electronic medical health records, hospital and clinic notes, health surveys or by phone. This data is then abstracted and patient information is entered into a transplant data repository. This position will meet with patients to obtain health information, enter into database or research consents. The TIS Assistant works collaboratively to provide transplant data for clinical care outcomes, program assessment, quality assurance, regulatory/governmental reporting and research requests.  

Qualifications include 2 or more years of higher education or equivalent experience in database programs and medical terminology. Experience with data entry. Must have strong communication and public relation skills by telephone and in person. Meticulous attention to detail is required as accuracy is essential. Prefer experience working with electronic medical records. Prefer experience working with transplant data.
