RN - Gen'l Peds*

All (infant to age 18) pediatric patients requiring non-intensive care including pulmonary, general, renal including peritoneal dialysis), some solid organ transplant; about 40% of patients have cardiovascular needs.. There are 18 clinical pediatric teams supporting the Children's Center. 45% of patients are under age 2. Bed capacity: 27. Provides care to pediatric cardiac, nephrology, urology, neurology, solid organ (kidney, heart) transplant, infectious disease, CF, pulmonary, and general medical surgical patients and their families. Performs advanced monitoring using current technology. Manages complex medication and infusion therapies. Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit. Demonstrates ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.   

MN RN licensure. BLS required. A minimum of one year current pediatric RN experience in a hospital based pediatric unit is preferred.  Extended orientation may be offered.  BSN required. Certification in a Pediatric clinical specialty is highly desired.
