Hours of Work: Thursday thru Monday Days Responsible to manage day-to-day activities and staff for surgical case cart, central supply, sterile processing of surgical instruments, linen services, medical equipment, shipping & receiving, couriers, and mail operations. Provides strong leadership to contract and non-contract staff in a series of job classes including hiring, staff development, terminations, and resolution of grievances in contract areas. Develops and maintains climate of exceptional customer service with actively engaged team. Interacts with hospital department managers and supervisors to establish service levels and to resolve customer complaints. Responsible for hospital wide distribution, stocking, and management of inventory levels and expiration dates. Accountable for favorable performance of labor and expense costs for designated supply chain departments. Actively participates in department budgeting and goal setting process. Serves as subject matter expert on surgical / medical supplies and equipment. Recommends and implements opportunities for improvements in customer service, cost reductions, operational processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Quals: BA/BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field and 3 years experience in non-healthcare supply chain supervisory role or 1 year experience in healthcare supply chain. Prefer CMRP, APICS and Central Processing Certification and 3 years supervisory in healthcare union environment.
