Trauma Nurse Coordinator - Pediatric

Assist Director, Trauma Services in developing, coordinating and maintaining the Pediatric trauma program. Assist with coordination and monitoring the trauma service and system to ensure an organized multidisciplinary approach to the care of the injured patient. Coordinates the injury prevention program for trauma services. Coordinates the community outreach program for trauma services and injury prevention program. 


AD in Nursing. Prefer Bachelor degree in Nursing or related field. Must have RN license without restrictions. Require BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, or ENPC.

Prefer CEN or CCRN, NRP, and ATCN.


Require at least 3 years ER & Trauma RN experience.

Prefer: Trauma Education and/or ED preceptor; experience in hospital injury prevention and/or community outreach programs and processes, ability to utilize data, demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonnal, and customer service skills; comprehensive knowledge of pre-hospital, ED, and hospital systems and the ability to work collaboratively with all disciplines; ability to work in a matrix environment and with service lines, and the demonstrated ability to support and manage change.


Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, trauma databases, ect.; experience in chart review, education teaching, and program development preferred. Flexibility with hours to meet patient care and trauma program's needs. Flexibility of a starting up anew program. Continuous trauma education preparation, 16hrs of trauma related education per year required.
