MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Reporting & Accounting Specialist serves ProPartners internal and external customers by providing loan accounting services to ProPartners team members by analyzing requests and creating accounting system entries using appropriate procedures and accounting principles. The incumbent would also provide customer service for accounting inquiries from alliance cooperatives, AgStar, and borrower customers. Incumbent ensures a high degree of accuracy and exceptional service and serve as a knowledge and technical resource to other team members with regard to accounting procedures. Duties will include but not be limited to accounting report review; funding and disbursement (ACH); receipt of payments; coordination of account maintenance with Lending Operations; customer service for accounting issues and rate locks and other information maintenance tasks. Incumbent would also perform duties as defined below as the primary support to the Senior Business Analyst.

The incumbent must possess basic knowledge of EXCEL® and WORD® and a willingness to learn MS ACCESS®. In addition, the incumbent will assist the Sr. Business Analyst in coordination of testing enhancements and modifications to custom applications and reports; administration of CRM database and website registration for the client base.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a minimum of an Associate Degree in agribusiness, business administration, accounting, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 to 3 years of accounting and loan servicing experience, or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Incumbent must have advanced accounting, interpersonal and communication skills combined with the ability to perform under deadline pressures. Requires demonstrated ability to effectively and tactfully communicate using telephone, facsimile and e-mail and ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional manner. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Ability to work independently and reach difficult decisions without close supervision required.
