The Big Stone County Board of Commissioners is recruiting for a full-time Human Resources Director to serve the County in all aspects of employee relations. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for administration of programs, including but not limited to, Employee Compensation, Benefits, Personnel Policies and Workers’ Compensation. The salary range starts at an annual salary of $60,762 with an excellent benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, and a pre-tax monetary allowance to purchase individual health insurance.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of a two-year degree in Business, Management or a related field with 4-6 years Human Resources experience. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree. This position requires a thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources administration and employment law. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or related field and 2-4 years professional experience in Human Resources. Human Resources certification and/or government experience is a plus.
