Description
This is a great opportunity for CMAs interested in working within a lab. Lab training will be provided.
The CMA performs routine clinical laboratory tests ordered by the physicians to assist in patient diagnosis and monitoring. Complies with all laboratory policies and procedures, OSHA and CLIA regulations. May act as a resource for problem resolution and interpretation of results/ correlates data based on clinical knowledge, technical expertise and other conditions affecting test results. Works with the customers of laboratory to promote customer satisfaction and participate in laboratory performance improvement. The CMA will assist within clinic as needed.
In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:
- Be a graduate from an accredited (CAAHEP or ABHES) Medical Assistant program
- Current CMA certification status or able to obtain certification within one year of hire.
- 1 year of CMA experience
Preferred:
- Primary care or family medicine experience
- Experience running non-waived (moderate complexity) lab tests
- X-ray certified
