Position Summary

Allina Hospitals and Clinics (a.k.a Allina Health) has an opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. The primary duty of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist is to provide psychiatric patient care in behavioral health settings including inpatient mental health; outpatient mental health; and emergency/crisis. This position requires a Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy degree (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine, plus three (3) years of psychiatry experience which can be obtained during a residency program. Must have current, unrestricted Minnesota State Medical Licensure. Must have board certification or be board eligible in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The three (3) years of related psychiatry experience must include two (2) years of related Child and Adolescent Psychiatry experience and completion of a Fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Must also have hands-on experience with each of the following: (1) use of pharmacotherapy and psychosocial interventions; (2) psychiatric program leadership, including program and service development and professional development of mental health staff; (3) serving as examiner evaluation of patients who may be dangerous to themselves or others as requested by a court; and (4) have a thorough understanding of the development, assessment, treatment, and prevention of psychopathology as it appears from infancy through adulthood.  Allina Hospitals and Clinics (a.k.a Allina Health) will accept experience gained concurrently.
