RN- Neuroscience*

Adult patients requiring neurosurgical, neurological, otolaryngologic, ophthalmologic, and urologic care including a neurosurgery step-down unit. Bed capacity: 25. Provides care to adult patients with complex medical conditions which require close observation, monitoring and interventions, including but not limited to neurological, neurosurgical, ENT and trauma patients. Performs advanced monitoring using current technology. Manages complex medication and infusion therapies. Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit. Demonstrates ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.   

Qualifications
MN RN licensure. BLS required. A minimum of one year current medical surgical RN experience in a hospital setting is required. AD; BSN preferred. Certification in a related specialty is highly desired.  Extended orientation may be offered.
