Our client in the Faribault area is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team! They are looking for someone who can provide technical oversight of their manufacturing operations and Engineering functions, such as: process flow, ergonomic/safety studies, cost control, plant layout, equipment requisition/disposition, and special products.
Duties:
· Provide layout processes on the shop floor
· Assist with Engineering project reviews, assembly sequences, and template reviews
· Determine raw material needs
· Inspect completed assemblies prior to shipment
· Participate and lead the company in continuous improvement activities in regards to procurement, storage, machining, and assembly of raw materials
· Set and monitor SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) goals
· Identify and troubleshoot production abnormalities
· Establish and improve production processes
· Determine materials required for product applications and formulate specifications for use in their procurement
· Determine and develop the tooling required for production
· Working with vendors to determine ideal equipment needed
· Assist with project requirements including engineered drawing review, raw material needs, assembly sequences and template review
Requirements:
· 4 year degree related to Manufacturing Engineering or equivelant experience
· Extensive background in shop floor, fabrications, assembly, and finishing of products. Woodworking experience is a must!
· Complete understanding of shop floor machines and required tooling
· Knowledge of how shop floor machines are designed, specific uses of machines, and requirements for repair and maintenance
· Experience in programming shop floor machines
