RN ICU

The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient populations in this 24 bed ICU. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with other members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

This is an evening position, 8 hours with every other weekend.

Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting above shoulders/waist level/below knees- max. 35lbs, push/pull- max. 35lbs, carrying- max. 35lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping/writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching below shoulders, reaching above shoulders, reaching across, rotation standing, bending at waist >45°

Mental Demands: Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, supervisory skills, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decision making skills, concentration, ability to work independent, multiple concurrent tasks, frequent deadlines, organizational skills, ability to work with others.  

 

Position is 8 hours, evenings, and every other weekend. 


Qualifications
*MN RN license required. *BLS and ACLS required. Must pass the telemetry screening. *Current RN ICU, Stepdown, Coronary Care or Emergency Department experience required. Must pass written and verbal general medical-surgical competency test. There are 2 scenarios to choose from. The applicant must select one scenario, and successfully answer the questions per CNS's guidelines.
