Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote Social Security Disability services through marketing materials, community presentations and trainings
- Process Social Security intake requests, make follow-up phone calls
- Meticulously maintain Social Security Disability case files
- Perform research and writing for Social Security cases
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Legal Services Manager
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent legal service professional experience
- Paralegal certificate and/or at least one year prior experience as paralegal
- Experience with Social Security Disability
- Experience in public speaking, presentations, and training
- Demonstrated experience in file preparation and document management
- Excellent organizational skills and ability
- Excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- High level of motivation with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience or knowledge regarding working with persons from diverse groups
- Experience working successfully as part of a team
- Experience with HIV or HIV services
