Athletic Trainer (Sports Medicine Clinic)

University of Minnesota Physicians Sports Medicine Clinic is opening January, 2013. It is located on campus at Stadium Village next to the TCF Bank Stadium. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8-5 p.m. and Saturday 8-noon. This is a part time position, 20 hours per week.
The Athletic Trainer provides prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of skeletal injuries and conditions. Casts, splints and provides DME/brace fitting for appropriate injuries. Provides gait training and instruction on in-home exercise and therapeutic programs. The Athletic Trainer acts as a liaison between the patient and attending physicians, utilizes strong customer service skills and promotes the UMPhysicians philosophy of patient centered care to meet the needs of all visitors/guests.
In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:
- Bachelors degree in Athletic Training
- Current NATA certification
- 0-2 years experience in an Athletic Training setting - clinic setting preferred
- Current MN Athletic Trainer license
