Description
The Self-Pay Specialist is responsible for receiving incoming calls regarding billing, insurance quesions and other inquiries. Responsible for researching, verifying, processing and updating account balances, demographic information, insurance registration, payments, account comments and collection agency accounts. Handles and resolves correspondence, statement edits, disputes and discrepancies. Set-up and maintain patient financial arrangements.
This position is located in Brooklyn Center, MN.
In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Two years medical customer service
- Two years billing experience
- Ability to keyboard at 35 works per minute
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
Preferred:
- Health care claims processing, and follow-up background is preferred.
