OVERVIEW
Records information pertaining to merchandise returned from customer because of defects, wrong amount or type.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Examines and compares merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defects, and date on invoice or other forms. Also uses that information to credit customer account for only that merchandise which has been returned.
Prepares invoices and other forms for returned goods
Creates records of receiving inventory into our inventory management system
Types information in records to explain reason for returned goods
Uses business rules to properly sort merchandise for final disposition
Complies and files list of merchandise handled
Sorts and stores all records of activities as needed
Ensures his/her work areas are maintained and cleaned daily
Ensures he/she supports all company safety procedures and encourages all fellow associates to do the same
Ensures that his/her assignments are completed in a consistent and high quality manner
Understands that in our team environment that he/she could on occasion be required to support other job functions on his/her shift
Work in an efficient manner to help ensure that the team reaches productivity goals
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Diploma or GED
One to three months related experience
Distribution experience preferred
