Description
Performs a variety of customer service tasks in the operations of the Park District in a manner that assures an efficient, safe, and clean operation while providing park guests the highest quality service possible.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Winter Rental Operations: Fits alpine skis, telemark skis, cross-country skis, snowboards, boots, and poles and assures that they are properly sized and adjusted.§Assures appropriate rental forms are completely and legibly filled out.§Assures that guests are properly instructed in all operations and settings of rental equipment.§Maintains rental inventories and assures that rental items are properly returned to designated spots. Assists in maintenance and testing of equipment, as requested. Performs a variety of general chalet maintenance functions including snow removal, trash removal, cleaning, and stocking.  Assures that the ski corral guests are quickly and efficiently served and ski/snowboard equipment is properly stored in designated spots.§Maintains security of all items in the ski corral. §Maintains a safe and clean work and deck area.  Food Service Operations: Prepares and serves food products and beverages that are tasteful and pleasing to the guests. Stores, prepares, and serves food products and refreshments in a manner that meets all local and state health code requirements as well as Park District rules and guidelines. §Maintains kitchen and storage areas in a clean and safe manner.§Assists in the performance of a wide variety of chalet maintenance functions including trash removal, cleaning, and stocking.  Facility Operations: Greets park patrons at assigned location and provides information on facilities and programs Sells daily and season park passes, merchandise, and tends food concession area where applicable. Assigns campsite and completes various registrations where applicable Rents recreation equipment where applicable (i.e. boat rentals) Follows prescribed cash handling and daily record keeping procedures; records user occasion data and completes necessary forms, as assigned Keeps work area/equipment clean, orderly and free from hazards Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned. Ski, Snowboard, and Tube Operations:
Assists in checking guests for proper lift passes. Accurately completes all paperwork including daily logs, incident reports, etc.  Monitors guests on ski/snowboard or tube hill for safety and quickly responds to emergencies. Maintains daily inventory of tubes, radios, vests, tools, etc. Performs general maintenance functions including snow removal and cleaning. Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned.


Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age. Previous Three Rivers Park District experience preferred.


Selection Procedure
A fully completed Three Rivers Park District Online Application must be received by Human Resources. This position is open-until-filled.
Applications will be evaluated on the basis of relevant experience and training. The top group of applicants will be invited to participate in further job screening.  
Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a background investigation including a criminal history search. Costs of the background will be paid for by Three Rivers Park District.
