Two temporary positions in the Chief Clerk's Office of the Minnesota House of Representatives for the 2013 legislative session. Begin in early January of 2013 for approximately five months.
Applicants must have strong communication skills and work well with people. A good understanding of the legislative process is highly desirable. Accuracy and attention to detail a must. Basic Microsoft Word and PC experience preferred. Long and irregular hours are to be expected during session.
Responsibilities may include a variety of duties including: delivery of documents in Capitol complex and maintenance of files and records related thereto; providing assistance with copying of documents for distribution on House floor; providing assistance in daily operation of public office; responding to member, staff and public requests for information relating to bill status, legislative documents and various House records. Willingness to be flexible and provide assistance as needed within the Chief Clerk's Office.
Entry salary: $558.40 - $670.40 per week, commensurate with experience.
