This position will be responsible for developing and implementing new web based technologies and systems to support administrative functios of the MnSCU Integrated Statewide Records System. this includes maintaining existing web applications and technologies.
NOTE: This psoition has a 10% travel requirement to travel to the System Office for meetings as needed.
LOCATION: This position can work from any of the following locations: Granite Falls, Waite Park or Moorhead.
-3 years of experience in J2EE software development in a business or educational environment.
-Experience and knowledge of programming languages, frameworks and techniques for use in development of web based applications.
-Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
-Experience with relational database concepts and structures.
-Understanding of the principles of application security and of how to apply those pronciples to coding and tsting practices.
-Understanding of the critical nature of security in a web environment.
-Expereince with security assessment tools.
-Understanding of the different components of the system architecture in which an application is deployed, including the server software environments, the databse and file systems, and networking concepts.
-Experience with Agile development methodologies.
-Expereince with software testing tools annd methodologies.
-Bachelor degree in information technology or related field
-Expereince with Oracle databases.
