Building Trades Credit Union is seeking a full-time loan processor.
This position is primarily responsible for underwriting consumer loans and ensuring the successful delivery of consumer loan services quickly, accurately, courteously and in a confidential manner. Other duties include interviewing loan applicants, participating in outbound calling to spur loan activity, cross-selling credit union products and services including credit life/disability.
Candidates must have at least two years of progressively responsible credit/consumer lending experience in a financial institution, preferably at a credit union, and at least two years of customer service experience and demonstrated ability to cross-sell products and services.
A four-year degree or some college is preferred.
Applicants must also have consumer lending underwriting skills as evidenced by an existing performing loan portfolio and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows-based PC software applications, including MS Office and in-house data processing systems.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations is required, along with loan underwriting guidelines, standard loan products and the consumer lending industry, credit scoring models, fair credit reporting and fair debt collection practices, Truth-in-Lending Regulations Z, E & B, RESPA, and the entire lending process.
