As a CMA within the Neurosurgery Clinic you will be responsible for providing professional, quality medical care to patients and quality support to medical staff. You will schedule patient appointments, enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information into our practice management system. In addition, you will prepare exam rooms for patient visits and perform high and low risk technical procedures, including medication administration. The position will be located on the U of M East Bank campus.
In order too qualify for this role, you must possess:
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (AAMA or ABHES)
- Team player, flexible, organized
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer skills
- Certified as a medical assistant or able to obtain certification within one year of hire
Preferred:
- 2 years experience in an ambulatory care setting
