Alliance Sourcing and Pricing Supervisor – Fargo ND
Leads and supervises Alliance Sourcing and Pricing team employees with emphasis on building a strong team in the spirit of the corporate values and culture including coaching, communicating and delegating responsibilities. Initiates periodic staff meetings. Communicates the department or company’s goals, mission and vision. Supervises the use of company benefits.
Provides timely performance feedback and evaluations including salary reviews and adjustments. Maintains up-to-date employee records and documentation. Ensures all required job responsibilities are performed meeting the company’s high quality standards. Ensures the employees are fully trained and qualified to complete their position responsibilities and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures. Responsible for hiring and dismissing staff, as needed. Coordinate daily performance issues, approving work schedules and communicating with all other appropriate functional areas as needed.
Responsible for establishing individual and team goals consistent with company inventory, pricing, sourcing, operations, sales and customer service objectives. Leads the use of vital factor tools, process and methodology to ensure a consistent and diligent focus on goal setting, continuous improvement towards goals, and achievement of goals. Will develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate inventory and pricing performance metrics, goals and results for all necessary business units.
Will support the Business Process Owner for MM and SD functional SAP areas to help drive continuous improvement. Will continuously review and enhance processes to improve service and reduce costs. Will lead research and business area development of emerging technologies as they relate to inventory and pricing best practices. Will work closely with IT, SAP, Data Support, and other applicable resources to develop and implement these technologies.
Will support Alliance Sourcing and Pricing initiatives as they relate to significant customer implementations or other major business changes.
Will work closely with customers and branches through conference calls and onsite visits to ensure the expectations surrounding both the inventory and pricing strategies are being met. Responsible for bringing awareness of customer and branch feedback to other departments and driving continuous improvement based on this feedback. Will work collaboratively with appropriate departments to improve supplier performance and overall supply chain efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness.
Alliance or Other Select Customer Sourcing:
Responsible for the leadership and development of the alliance sourcing processes, frequency of process completion, documentation of goals, and reporting results for designated alliance customers. Will have specific responsibility for driving continuous improvement and accountability with the Alliance Sourcing initiatives. Must utilize product and commercial knowledge to ensure cost management and product category alignment exceeds our alliance customers’ expectations and contractual obligations. Such activities will include consistent execution of sourcing reviews, cost savings and justifications, and competitive pricing reviews. Will help determine strategic manufacturer alignment for alliance customers in conjunction with market management.
Alliance or Other Select Customer Pricing:
Responsible for the leadership and development of the alliance pricing processes, frequency of process completion, documentation of goals, and reporting results for designated alliance customers. Will have specific responsibility for driving continuous improvement and accountability with the Alliance Pricing initiatives. Will ensure new customer implementations, development of system strategies and ongoing maintenance and improvement are in accordance with customer contracts and meeting stated objectives. Such activities will include consistent gross margin, net sells, and ceiling price reviews ensuring accuracy and agreed upon levels are being reached for the customer. Will execute sell price and margin strategies for alliance customers along with national pricing agreements such as SupplyForce and Vangaard.

Minimum of a four-year engineering, sales, marketing, technical or business degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience. Prior supervisory experience and APICS certifications preferred. Minimum of five years of prior procurement, sales or marketing experience with advanced knowledge of electrical, utility, industrial or communication wiring products and systems preferred. Strong knowledge of the SAP materials management system preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills are preferred with the ability to effectively plan and organize. Must be able to read, write and speak in English. Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Internet, and SAP software. Excellent customer service skills include being courteous, responsive, accurate and competent.
