Humera has an exciting opportunity for a Mid Level Financial Analyst for our company located in Eden Prairie! This is a direct hire opportunity!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts for various operating departments, and provide monthly accounting, analysis and reporting
- Partner with business representatives to assist with management of their expense budgets as well as their capital requests
- Control and administration of capital authorization (RFE) process
- Analytical review of capital requests including cash flow analysis and NPV/ROI calculation
- Make recommendations as needed regarding the effective utilization of the division's capital resources
- Coordinate annual capital budget and quarterly capital forecast for the division
- Prepare monthly journal entries for US transactions
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts resolving all variances timely
- Manage fixed asset accounting including
- Monthly preparation of the fixed asset roll-forward
- Preparation of Annual Fixed Asset Audit Workpapers
- Annual Depreciation Budget and Forecast
- Prepare annual tax filings for personal property and real estate taxes
- Manage the note and non-compete payment process related to business acquisitions
- Assist in the identification, development and implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Perform other special projects / duties as assigned
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience
- Proven accounting skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and able to prioritize towards meeting deadlines
- Experience using Lawson General Ledger Software a plus
- CPA designation preferred
