Job Description:
Humera Administrative and Professional Staffing is seeking a Seasonal Tax Accountant for our client located in Hopkins! In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns for clients in a practice specialized in grocery retailing and other or related businesses. Return types include corporate/partnership/individual federal, state and local income taxes and also may contribute to property, payroll and franchise tax processes. This is a short term contracted assignment.
  • Help with the preparation of federal, state and local tax returns and related reports to ensure client compliance with tax laws and regulations. Returns include corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns, as well as property, payroll, and franchise taxes
  • Engage with clients as assigned and as needed to obtain necessary information and complete filing
  • Assist in workflow management to ensure strong client service standards are maintained
  • Keep up to date on new tax legislation and court decisions to determine effect on clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize towards meeting deadlines
