St. Francis Regional Medical Center, located in Shakopee, Minn., is jointly owned by Allina Health, Benedictine Health System, and Park Nicollet Health Services. It provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care services to more than 115,000 patients each year on a collaborative medical campus with more than 30 other providers. This unique structure enables St. Francis to combine the caring and compassion of a community hospital with the modern medical technology, specialties, and services found in the metro area. St. Francis has 800 employees, 400 physicians and 86 staffed beds.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent nursing care in critical care areas of ICU, PACU and ED
- Do IV starts, patient assessments
- Cover the flyer resource role intermittently
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Current MN License
- BSN Preferred
- ACLS required
- Must complete PALS or ENCP, CALS or TNCC within 6 months of hire
- 3 years of medical/surgical experience required
- 1 year experience in ICU and ED preferred
- Previous experience as a charge nurse or preceptor preferred
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, problem solving skills, strong clinical skills in caring for increasingly ill patient population
- Adaptability and flexibility through the work day
- Interpersonal skills will include ability to communicate effectively in a stressful situations amongst the interdisciplinary team
- Ability to multitask and organize work and the ability to be a strong team player
RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility
Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
- Part time position 24 hours per week
- Day/Night Shift 7 PM- 7 AM
- Every third weekend
- MNA Contract
