Performs high quality radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment. Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technical training program from an accredited JRCERT approved school and registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. A Registry Eligible employee must take and pass the 1st ARRT certification test offered post graduation. If the exam is not passed, the employee must have a Minnesota X-ray Equipment Operator license to continue performing x-rays. Must demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, and proper application of radiographic principles. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to problem solve and use independent judgment. Must maintain current CPR skills. Strong interpersonal and team-building skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. This position is required to float between Methodist Hospital and Park Nicollet Clinics.
Various locations in the north and central regions. Days and evening hours. Every 8th weekend at Maple Grove. Orthopedic experience a plus.
