Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.


Responsibilities

  • Further the Patient Experience agenda in specific project areas as measured and informed by our patients
  • Work with Patient Experience team, Patient Experience Site Leaders, Patient Experience Steering Committee, the Nurse Executive Team, Clinic Leadership, Quality Leaders, and other stakeholders across Allina on initiatives approved by the Patient Experience Steering Committee
  • Develope and roll out initiatives, tools and behaviors to be implemented by Nurses, Physicians, and other disciplines aimed to improve focused Patient Experiences measures
  • Support patient experience initiatives for designated Clinical Services Lines
  • Coach/facilitate Positive Deviance (or other cultural building projects) work
  • Coach/facilitate Allina's Advanced Training Program
  • Further develop and recruit patients for Allina's Patient Advisory Councils
  • Develop Patient Engagement Strategy and begin to coordinate efforts around Allina
  • Facilitate and/or coordinate initiatives designed to improve cultural and patient experience
  • Empower and educate staff on improvement initiatives
  • Appropriately use and distribute data to stakeholders 3 - 4 years statistical analysis experience


Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS (Preferred in healthcare field, business, management, related field or equivalent)
  • Master's a plus
  • 3 - 4 years of progressively increasing project experience, with direct experience managing project teams & implementations at multiple sites or related work experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • 3 - 4 years statistical analysis experience
  • 3 - 4 years health care industry experience
  • 3 - 4 years experience with lean, six sigma, JIT, value stream mapping, adaptive design or other process improvement methodology
  • Or 3 - 4 years management experience of large functions or departments with demonstrated achievement in revenue enhancement or cost mitigation through workflow or other process improvement efforts

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop, lead and manage medium and large sized projects utilizing commons project management methodologies, following PMI standards and common planning tools
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members, project stakeholders, and project steering committees on project priorities, issues, and risks
  • Ability and experience in assessing, evaluating and recommending technical and adaptive solutions
  • Strong leadership judgment and business acumen
  • Experience with customer relationship management and negotiating requirements
  • Proven ability to effectively lead meetings and direct team problem solving sessions
  • Must be able to think and work independently
  • Experience in facilitation of large & small group working sessions and stakeholder meetings
  • Training and experience in team development, conflict resolution and project supervision
