Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.
Responsibilities
The Portfolio Analyst supports the team in identifying savings opportunities by reviewing benchmarking, monitoring trends, assisting in conversions, tracking savings, determining annual spend within a category, product category "book of business" and assisting Sr. Buyers in evaluating and renewing contracts. The list below includes a brief summary of the tasks required for this position:
- Create and maintain savings tracking reports using various data sources
- Create and maintain team metric reports such as NPR, Specials, Expiring Contracts, and non-contract spend
- Analyze & interpret spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities through the use of advanced analytical tools
- Building customized reports in Ace Web
- Process RASMAS recall notices notifying appropriate users
- Process rebate checks
- Run monthly reports to be sent out to end users to identify cost savings opportunities
- Support four (4) Senior Buyer and (3) Buyer positions in their requests for data analysis
- Develop relationships with key/strategic suppliers and cross functional teams within Allina
- Complete benchmarking analysis
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 2 to 4 years related experience
Skills:
- Advanced analytical and Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
